Three Small Cap Stocks with Respectable Dividends

It never hurts to think big with small cap stocks.

Especially if those stocks offer dividends, even in times of market disarray.  While former stock giants like General Electric (GE) lowered dividend payments to a penny, there are plenty of other ways to rake in the extra income from small cap dividends.

Here are some of the top small cap stocks you may want to keep on radar.

Small Cap Dividend Stock: Steelcase Inc. (SCS)

Steelcase Inc. (SCS) for example has a market cap of $1.73 billion.  As a 100-year old furniture company, the stock had quite a year, running from $14.50 to a high of $19.21 on earnings.  While it has since pulled back with the broader market, it’s worth watching for its annualized dividend of 54 cents, up 5.9% year over year.

Small Cap Dividend Stock: Global Partners LP (GLP)

Global Partners LP, a midstream logistics and marketing company, distributes gasoline, distillates, residual oil, and renewable fuels to wholesalers, retailers, and commercial customers in the New England states and New York. It operates in three segments: Wholesale, Gasoline Distribution and Station Operations, and Commercial.  It has a dividend yield of 11.24%.

Small Cap Dividend Stock: Guess Inc. (GES)

Guess Inc. has had quite a year, running from a February 2018 low of $14 to more than $21. Granted, most retailers haven’t done that well this year, but GES is a standout winner thanks to recent optimism about the future of the company.

According to CEO Victor Herrero:

“This is truly an exciting time for our Company as we continue to execute our turnaround. For this fiscal year, we are planning for positive comps in all regions and expecting every business segment to be profitable; beyond the current year, we still have a lot of growth opportunities in Europe and Asia; the results in the Americas retail business have continued to show improvement; and we see more opportunities to reduce costs, particularly in logistics. More than ever, we remain focused on executing our strategic initiatives which are the pillars of our revenue and profit growth and our 7.5% operating margin goal.”

Guess Inc. has a current dividend yield of 4.08%.
